Louis Kaufman Louis Kaufman, American violinist, championed the music of William Grant Still. He often collaborated with Still in much the same way that Joseph Joachim worked with Johannes Brahms. Still wrote his Pastorale, Suite for Violin and Piano, Lyric Suite, and Ennanga for Kaufman and his string quartet.
